My parents were separated and this made me become depressed, as I saw my mother crying. Dad left without paying the electricity and water bills. I thought we were finished, but I prayed to St Josemaria. That same week, my brother got a call from a laboratory, offering him a job. He started the next day, but he had to have white shoes, and we had nothing to pay for them with. So I carried right on praying, this time to find the money for his shoes. He found a pair being auctioned, and got them very cheap.

A Miracle in Macau Hospital

The old man I had been working for slipped and hit his head when I was away. He was brought to the hospital by his daughters, he had a deep wound at the back of his head and had an operation on the head. He is 88 years old.

My business started thriving again

My business was going through a real slump as are a lot of businesses around the world. I decided to do the work novena of Saint Josemaria. The very next day my business started thriving again. I am normally a reserved person who doesn’t like to talk about such things, but I feel obliged to let everyone know of my experience. Her life turned right round

I have been reading the testimonies written by many people who have obtained favors through St Josemaria's intercession. I would like to add my own experience. I heard about St Josemaria through a prayer-card that a friend gave me. I have to say that at first I didn't really believe in it, but lately, with the credit crunch, things started going very badly for us and I began saying the prayer to him every day with great faith. And I can say it's helped me a lot. Thanks to his intercession I have found a job, and I also prayed for a friend who was in an even worse situation than me, and her life turned right round. I thank him every day for the help he gives me and keep asking to him to help me pray to God that we get out of the hole we're in.

I needed to turn back to God

I want to give my testimony of a favor received through Saint Josemaria’s intercession. I lost my job in 2006 and in spite of all the efforts I made over the next 5 years I couldn’t get another job. When my situation was most desperate, one morning I got up with the feeling inside that I needed to turn back to God. A prayer-card of Saint Josemaria fell into my hands, and I began to pray the prayer and the novena for work with great devotion. After a short time and in spite of my age, several different job opportunities came up, and I have been working for a year now. Every day I thank God, the Blessed Virgin and Saint Josemaria for his intercession.

Mass redundancies

I work in a development and poverty relief program in a deprived area of my country. Times have been hard, so much so that our project had to close down suddenly and we had to dismiss more than 38 participants who had been helping over 800 producers. Helped to find the error

On January 6, 2012, I was doing a bank reconciliation in the office where I work and found that there was a difference of 239.42 euros between the bank statement and the accounts. I went carefully through the bank statement and the accounts, and could not find the error. I decided to stop and pray the prayer on the prayer-card to Saint Josemaria with faith, and when I finished it, I saw straight away the entry that I had missed. I gave thanks to Saint Josemaria who I consider had helped me to find the error.

Finishing my thesis for the deadline

I have been praying to St. Josemaria for 6 months asking him the favor of being able to finish my undergraduate thesis on time while at the same time get an internship job at a company I prefer. I used the Novena for Work. I did get the internship job. Meanwhile the deadline for submission of thesis was getting round and I still had difficulties with it. I kept praying to St. Josemaria. He heard my prayer because I finished my thesis right on the week of graduation registration. I was even given a consideration to register for graduation for this period. I graduated last Dec. 9 and I thank St. Josemaria for that important favor. I continue to have devotion to him and to pray to him for my other intentions.

In difficult situations

A very close family member suffered problems ever since she was quite young. She got married, had a daughter, got separated, had several partners, all of them with problems, started drinking heavily, couldn’t keep any jobs... After I began praying for her through St Josemaria’s intercession, I saw that she was gradually getting better, first in herself, and then in her situation and relations with other people. When she was better I gave her the prayer-card of St Josemaria. She has found a growing inner peace and has found God again. She was also greatly helped by a copy of the Novena for Work that I gave her. Now she is more focused and more attentive to her daughter. It is a real miracle and I think St Josemaria’s intercession played a large part in it.

I thought I would not find work

Even more grateful for the presence of God in my life

I returned to college after having our children to study nursing. During the time I was in school my husband lost his job and though he eventually found work we spent much of our savings on living expenses and my education. Though I earned excellent grades and had related healthcare work experience I was unable to find a job as a new graduate. I applied for hundreds of jobs even those I did not want and was not suited for. I could not understand why I could not find work despite my best efforts. Month after month passed without a single call and I grew more depressed, distressed and fearful about our future. I began to wonder if I had made a mistake in returning to school or becoming a nurse. Why had I been called to nursing if there was no place for me? I felt broken and confused and angry much of the time. My insecurity led to profound anxiety that permeated every area of my life. I was ready to give up but realized there was no way to do so. I had to find work!

No children arrived

We had been married for four years and after a miscarriage no children arrived. One day my husband and I decided to pray the prayer-card of St. Josemaria every night asking him to intercede for us to be parents. After three months I became pregnant and our son José was born on September 14. I still pray every day for St. Josemaria’s protection for my family and for him to help us always to love God’s Will. Thank you, St. Josemaria!

Set to divorce

My son and his wife were already set to divorce. Their two small sons 5 and 2 were of course suffering the consequences. I prayed to St. Josemaria. He answered within days. My son and his wife are happy now. The big difference is of course the two little boys. You can see how happy they are.

Late career job found

I have been unemployed for several months since my previous employer went out of business. I am near the end of my career but I still wanted to continue in my work as a Software Engineer. Someone from my Church approached my about a position opening at his company. I believed God had a hand in it because I had just completed a short term project that gave me the experience needed for the new position. So after interviewing with the company I started praying the Novena for finding a job to St. Josemaria. On the last day of the Novena I got a call from the company and they made me an offer. Thanks be to God and thank you Josemaria for your intercession.
